The Metal

Tungsten carbide is the hardest wedding-band metal made - roughly 4× harder than titanium and 10× harder than 18k gold. That's not marketing language; it's a measurable Mohs hardness of 8.5-9. In practical terms: this band will not scratch from keys, tools, gym equipment, or daily contact with desks, steering wheels, or phone cases. It will look the same in five years as it looks the day you open the box.

The yellow-gold tone on the GILDWING is a PVD (physical vapor deposition) finish bonded to the tungsten core at the molecular level - not paint or plating. It won't peel, strip, or wear through. The metal is fully hypoallergenic and nickel-free. The carbon fiber inlay is genuine pressure-forged composite - real carbon fiber cloth heat-formed into rigid panels, sealed into the band, and polished smooth.

Forged Carbon Fiber Meets Polished Gold

Forged carbon fiber is a different beast than the woven checkerboard you see on supercar hoods. Here, chopped carbon fiber strands are pressure-molded under heat into a rigid composite - the result is a marbled, almost stone-like texture where each piece reveals a unique dark pattern of black and near-black swirls.

On the GILDWING, that forged texture runs across the center of the band, flanked by polished yellow-gold-tone tungsten beveled edges.
