Lesson 1 · Ring fit & care · 24 seconds

Ring width is not ring size.

Two rings the same size can look completely different. Width is how broad the band is. Size is the inside dimension that fits your finger. Compare the width, then confirm your size.

What this lesson shows

Width and size are two different measurements.

Width is the band's breadth, in millimeters, from one edge to the other. Size is the inside circumference that goes around your finger. A wider band does not mean a bigger size, and a thinner band does not mean a smaller size.

The rings in the lesson all have the same inside dimension. Only the width changes.

Three quick takeaways

What to actually do when you buy

  • Pick the width that fits the look you want. 4 mm, 6 mm and 8 mm are common choices; wider reads bolder, narrower reads more delicate.
  • Then confirm your size separately. A wider band can feel snugger at the same labeled size.
  • When possible, size with a sizer or sample ring whose width and interior profile match the band you plan to buy, then verify the fit before you commit.

The rings on screen are generic educational models rendered for the lesson, not a specific Aydins product. They illustrate the width-versus-size distinction, nothing more.

These rings can be the same size and still look completely different. Here's why. Width is how broad the band is. Ring size describes its inside dimensions. A wider-looking ring doesn't automatically mean a larger ring size. Compare the width, then confirm your size. Save this before choosing your band.
