The Metal

Tungsten carbide is the hardest wedding-band metal made - roughly 4× harder than titanium and 10× harder than 18k gold. That's not marketing language; it's a measurable Mohs hardness of 8.5-9. In practical terms: this band will not scratch from keys, tools, gym equipment, or daily contact with desks, steering wheels, or phone cases. It will look the same in five years as it looks the day you open the box.

The black tone is a PVD (physical vapor deposition) finish - bonded to the tungsten core at the molecular level, not a paint or plating. It won't peel, strip, or wear through. The metal is fully hypoallergenic and nickel-free. The domed profile curves gently from edge to edge, and the edge grooves are precision-cut into the tungsten before PVD - structural, not surface features.

The DION is single-tone black with three distinct finish zones: brushed matte black across the crown of the dome, and polished black on both edges, with a single recessed groove cut into each polished edge running parallel around the full circumference. That gives the ring five visual features arranged symmetrically: matte center, polished edge, groove, polished edge (mirrored on the other side), and the structural dome shape underneath.

The twin grooves read as parallel accent lines sitting in the polished edges - subtle but deliberate, the kind of detail you notice after wearing the ring for a while. The matte dome reads quiet; the polished edges catch light sharply; the grooves carve fine dark lines into that bright polished field. All one color, all built from geometry and finish rather than contrast.
