The Metal

Tungsten carbide is the hardest wedding-band metal made - roughly 4× harder than titanium and 10× harder than 18k gold. That's not marketing language; it's a measurable Mohs hardness of 8.5-9. In practical terms: this band will not scratch from keys, tools, gym equipment, or daily contact with desks, steering wheels, or phone cases. It will look the same in five years as it looks the day you open the box.

The black tone on the CONTELIS is a PVD (physical vapor deposition) finish bonded to the tungsten core at the molecular level - not paint or plating. It won't peel, strip, or wear through. The metal is fully hypoallergenic and nickel-free. The white turquoise is genuine - pressure-stabilized fragments crushed and set in clear resin into the dome's channel.

Genuine White Turquoise Fragments on Polished Black

Most turquoise is sky-blue, but a less common white variety carries the same matrix-veined structure in pale ivory rather than blue. The CONTELIS uses crushed fragments of real white turquoise set in clear resin across the crown of a polished black tungsten dome, framed by deep mirror-polished black.

From a distance the ring reads as a dark band with a bright ivory center stripe. Up close, the fragments become visible - irregular pieces with the dark matrix veining that says natural rather than synthetic stone. No two rings are identical because every batch of crushed turquoise has its own pattern.
