The Metal

Tungsten carbide is the hardest wedding-band metal made - roughly 4× harder than titanium and 10× harder than 18k gold. That's not marketing language; it's a measurable Mohs hardness of 8.5-9. In practical terms: this band will not scratch from keys, tools, gym equipment, or daily contact with desks, steering wheels, or phone cases. It will look the same in five years as it looks the day you open the box.

The black tone on the MALACHIP is a PVD (physical vapor deposition) finish bonded to the tungsten core at the molecular level - not paint or plating. It won't peel, strip, or wear through. The metal is fully hypoallergenic and nickel-free. The malachite inlay is a simulated stone - engineered to replicate the deep emerald green and characteristic concentric banding of natural malachite without the chemical sensitivity that limits real malachite for daily wear.

Simulated Malachite on Polished Black

Real malachite is one of the most striking copper carbonate minerals - known for deep emerald green crossed by concentric ringed banding from its natural growth pattern. The MALACHIP uses a simulated version that recreates that banded green appearance without the porosity and chemical sensitivity that limit natural malachite's daily-wear durability.

The stone sits flush across the center of a polished black tungsten beveled body. From a distance the ring reads as a dark band with a deep green center stripe. Up close, the concentric banding becomes visible - the visual signature that says malachite. Polished black tungsten frames the green, deepening the contrast.
