Lesson 9 · Ring Fit & Care · 39 seconds
Same size. Different weight.
Width, thickness and inside size can match while weight does not. Tungsten carbide is roughly three times as dense as titanium, so at the same size it is roughly three times as heavy.
What this lesson shows
Density is why one ring feels like nothing and the other has a presence.
Published density values are about 4.5 g/cm³ for commercially pure titanium and about 14.4 to 14.9 g/cm³ for cemented tungsten carbide. Same shape, roughly 3x the mass. Neither is better. It is a preference.
Three quick takeaways
What to actually do when you shop
- Try the material on your hand, not just in a photo. Titanium can feel barely there; tungsten carbide has a solid, weighty feel.
- Weight does not change with cosmetic finish. Polishing or brushing the surface changes how a ring looks, not how heavy it feels.
- Width magnifies the difference. A wider band in tungsten carbide is noticeably heavier than the same width in titanium.
The rings in the lesson are 3D models used to compare density at an identical shape. Not weighings of specific Aydins products. The lesson uses an AI-generated narration voice (Holden preset), 3D-rendered models and some AI-generated supporting footage. See the campaign manifest for full disclosure.

These two rings share one shape: same width, same thickness, same inside size. One is titanium, one is tungsten carbide. Tungsten carbide is roughly three times as dense as titanium, so at the same size it is roughly three times as heavy. Titanium can feel barely there. Tungsten carbide has a solid, weighty feel. Neither one is better. It is a preference. Choose how it feels, not just how it photographs.
