The Metal

Tungsten carbide is the hardest wedding-band metal made - roughly 4× harder than titanium and 10× harder than 18k gold. That's not marketing language; it's a measurable Mohs hardness of 8.5-9. In practical terms: this band will not scratch from keys, tools, gym equipment, or daily contact with desks, steering wheels, or phone cases. Both tones on the PROTO are PVD (physical vapor deposition) finishes bonded to the tungsten core at the molecular level - the black and the rose-gold-tone are molecularly integrated, not painted or plated. Neither can peel, strip, or wear through. The metal is fully hypoallergenic and nickel-free. The beveled profile chamfers the outer edges. The Celtic knotwork inlay is a rose-gold-tone layer with precision cut-outs that let the black tungsten body show through each opening.
