The Metal

Tungsten carbide is the hardest wedding-band metal made - roughly 4× harder than titanium and 10× harder than 18k gold. That's not marketing language; it's a measurable Mohs hardness of 8.5-9. In practical terms: this band will not scratch from keys, tools, gym equipment, or daily contact with desks, steering wheels, or phone cases. It will look the same in five years as it looks the day you open the box.

Both tones on the HILVEN are PVD (physical vapor deposition) finishes bonded to the tungsten core at the molecular level - not paint or plating. Neither can peel, strip, or wear through. The metal is fully hypoallergenic and nickel-free. The brushed rose-gold-tone body carries a fine matte grain; the polished black trapezoids are mirror-polished and sit flush with the surrounding surface.

Rather than a plain stripe or inlay, the HILVEN puts a rhythm into the face of the band - a repeating run of jet-black trapezoid shapes spaced evenly along the center of a brushed rose-gold-tone surface. Each trapezoid catches light at a different angle as you rotate your hand, creating a subtle flicker of dark geometry against the warm metal.

From a distance the band reads as a rose-gold ring with a dark geometric band running through it. Up close the trapezoid shapes read clearly - sharp-edged, architectural, deliberate. The polished rose-gold-tone stepped edges finish the ring with crisp warm borders.
