About Tungsten Carbide
Tungsten carbide is one of the hardest metals used in jewelry. It's much harder than titanium, gold, or platinum, holds a mirror polish that doesn't dull from daily wear, doesn't bend out of round, and resists scratching from almost anything you'll encounter day-to-day.
The trade-off is that tungsten is harder than it is tough. A direct hammer-strike or a fall onto concrete from height can chip it. In an emergency it can be cracked off the finger with standard ER tools, which is actually a safety advantage compared to gold or platinum.
Tungsten rings don't trigger nickel allergies, don't tarnish, and don't oxidize. The PIERRE holds the same finish years into wear as it has on day one.
About the Turquoise Inlay
Turquoise is one of the oldest gemstones used in human jewelry. Egyptian, Persian, and Native American traditions all worked it into ceremonial pieces over 3,000 years ago. The PIERRE's turquoise inlay is real natural turquoise stabilized for ring durability. The famous sky-blue and green tones come from copper and aluminum traces in the stone's matrix.
Each piece of turquoise has its own veining. The dark matrix lines visible across the inlay are part of the original stone, not a flaw. They give every ring its individual character and prove the stone is genuine, not synthetic.

Sizing & Fit
The PIERRE is comfort fit, meaning the inside of the band is rounded rather than flat, which makes it easier to slide over the knuckle and more comfortable for all-day wear. Comfort-fit rings typically size a half-size smaller than standard-fit rings, so if you normally wear a size 10 standard-fit, you'll likely wear a 9.5 in the PIERRE.

Wipe the PIERRE with a soft cloth. That's the core care routine. Tungsten doesn't tarnish, doesn't oxidize, and doesn't lose its polish from daily wear. For a deeper clean, warm water and mild dish soap; rinse, dry, done. Avoid dropping on tile or concrete (tungsten is hard but brittle), and remove for heavy hammer/chisel work.

Yes. Both tungsten and ceramic rings can be safely removed in an emergency. Hospitals use a tool that cracks the band cleanly off the finger without needing to cut through it. This is actually a safety advantage over gold or platinum, which require more time-consuming cutting.

Every Aydins ring is covered by a lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects. If something fails because of how the ring was made, not how it was worn, we'll take care of it through our warranty process.
What's Covered
- Manufacturing defects in the ring or its finish
- Premature failure of plating, coatings, or inlays under normal wear
- Stone setting failure caused by the manufacturing process
- Defects in the metal or material itself
What's Not Covered
The warranty covers how we built the ring, not what happens to it after you take it home. The following aren't covered:
- Damage from drops, sharp impact, or excessive force
- Wear caused by chlorine, harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaning, or improper care
- Lost rings
- Damage from at-home sizing or resizing attempts (always use the Lifetime Sizing Program)
- Normal cosmetic wear over time on softer metals (small scratches, patina)
Aydins Lifetime Sizing Program
Your finger size will change over the years. The Lifetime Sizing Program is how we make sure your ring keeps fitting, no matter how long you've owned it.
It works like this:
- If your size changes at any point in your life, we will send you the same ring in your new size for a small re-sizing fee, not the full retail price.
- You ship your original ring back to us, and we ship the replacement out to you.
- The full process is handled through our Returns & Exchanges portal, so you can track everything from start to finish.
The exact process depends on the metal (some can be resized, others are replaced), but the outcome is the same: you stay in a ring that fits, for life.

How does inside engraving work?
Free with every order. You can engrave text, dates, coordinates, fingerprints, handwriting, signatures, or a custom image. Standard fonts are included; if you want a specific font or custom artwork, send us a sample after checkout and we'll match it. Engraving is permanent and laser-etched, not stamped.
Do you offer custom sizes or widths?
Yes, within reason. We can do half sizes, sizes below 5 and above 15, and non-standard widths on most styles. Reach out before ordering with what you need and we'll quote the timeline. Some materials (ceramic, full-engraved patterns) have manufacturing limits we'll be upfront about.
Which material is right for me?
Tungsten is hardest and most scratch-resistant; great for daily wear and active hands. Titanium is lighter, hypoallergenic, and softer in feel. Ceramic is hard like tungsten but lighter and a true permanent black. Solid 14k gold is softer than tungsten and will pick up character marks over time, which most buyers like; pick gold if you want a traditional precious metal. Are your rings really handcrafted?
Yes. Every Aydins ring is hand-finished, hand-inspected, and hand-engraved in our workshop before it ships. We've been doing this since 2011. That's why standard turnaround is 1 to 3 business days and not same-day; the quality check takes a beat.

Every order ships free anywhere in the United States with no minimum. Free shipping is also available to Canada, Australia, and the United Kingdom on orders of $90 USD or more.
Processing Time

Express and Next-Day Delivery
