The short version: Every Aydins ring includes free laser engraving, up to 30 characters per side, inside or outside the band. We engrave standard text in 1–2 business days. Custom artwork (handwriting, fingerprints, logos, photos) takes 3–5 business days. Engraved rings cannot be returned for refund, the engraving makes them yours, but the original purchaser can exchange them for a different size under our Lifetime Sizing program (flat fee, no time limit).

We Engrave In-House
Every engraving is done by our team in Irving, Texas. We proof every order before it ships.

Most couples engrave a wedding date or a short message inside the band, but our laser equipment can handle far more than text. If you can give us a clean black-and-white image, we can put it on the ring.
- Text engraving: Names, dates, vows, coordinates, song lyrics. Up to 30 characters per side.
- Handwriting: Your or a loved one’s actual handwriting, scanned and reproduced exactly.
- Fingerprint engraving: A real fingerprint pressed onto the band, ours or theirs.
- Photo engraving: Black-and-white photos converted to laser-readable artwork. Best for portraits, pets, landmarks.
- Logo engraving: Company logos, family crests, sports team marks. Vector files preferred.
- Custom artwork: Anything we can render in line art, ask before ordering and we’ll confirm feasibility.

Send us a photo of a handwritten note, from a parent, a partner, a child, and we’ll engrave it onto the inside or outside of the band. The handwriting stays exactly as it was on the page.
Couples use this for vows in their own writing, signatures from late family members, or a kid’s first scribbled “I love you, Daddy.”
Submit a clean photo of the writing on plain white paper. We’ll trace it, send a digital proof, and engrave only after you approve.
Brand marks, crests, and faces.
We engrave company logos onto custom corporate gifts and family crests onto heirloom bands. Photos, portraits, pets, landmarks, can be converted to laser-readable line art and engraved on photo pendants or wider rings.
For best results, send vector files (.SVG, .AI, .EPS) for logos and high-resolution photos for portraits. We’ll do the conversion and send a proof before engraving.

Is laser engraving really free?
Yes. Every ring in the Aydins catalog includes free engraving, standard text or custom artwork. No upcharge, no minimum order. The cost is built into the ring price.
How many characters can I engrave?
Up to 30 characters per side. You can engrave both the inside and outside of the band, that’s 60 characters total. Spaces and punctuation count as characters.
How long does engraving add to my order?
Standard text adds 1–2 business days. Custom artwork (handwriting, fingerprints, logos, photos) adds 3–5 business days. Custom gold rings ship in 6–8 weeks total, engraving included.
Can I return an engraved ring?
No, engraved rings cannot be returned for a refund, because the engraving customizes the ring to you. The original purchaser can, however, exchange the ring for a different size (same style) under our Lifetime Sizing fee schedule (flat $34.50 in the first year from receipt, $54.50 after, items over $1,000 carry a 25% surcharge at every tier), or for free under the optional Aydins Protection Plan within 6 months of receipt. Style swaps on engraved rings are not covered. If we made the engraving mistake, we replace the ring at no charge regardless.
Will engraving wear off over time?
No. Laser engraving on tungsten, titanium, and Damascus steel is permanent, the laser etches the surface at a microscopic level. On softer metals like gold and silver, engraving may soften slightly after decades of wear, but will not disappear.
Can you engrave fonts other than the default?
Yes. We support over a dozen fonts, serif, sans-serif, script, and decorative styles. Specify your preferred font in the order notes, or we’ll send a proof for approval before engraving.
Do you proof engravings before they’re burned in?
For custom artwork (handwriting, photos, logos, fingerprints), yes, we email a digital proof for approval before engraving. For standard text, we engrave directly from your order notes, so double-check spelling at checkout.
Can I engrave a ring I bought elsewhere?
Yes, we offer paid engraving services on outside rings as a mail-in service from our Irving, Texas workshop. Contact us at sales@shopaydins.com with photos and dimensions for a quote.
