The Metal

Tungsten carbide is the hardest wedding-band metal made - roughly 4× harder than titanium and 10× harder than 18k gold. That's not marketing language; it's a measurable Mohs hardness of 8.5-9. In practical terms: this band will not scratch from keys, tools, gym equipment, or daily contact with desks, steering wheels, or phone cases. It will look the same in five years as it looks the day you open the box.

The black tone on the ELITIS is a PVD (physical vapor deposition) finish bonded to the tungsten core at the molecular level - not paint or plating. It won't peel, strip, or wear through. The metal is fully hypoallergenic and nickel-free. The capiz shell fragments are real - sourced from translucent windowpane oyster shell - and sealed in deep black resin into the dome's channel.

Capiz shell - also called windowpane oyster - is one of the most subtle iridescent materials in nature. Translucent and pearl-grey, it shifts in tone from silver to soft pink as light moves across it. On the ELITIS, irregular capiz fragments float in deep black resin set flush across the crown of a polished black tungsten dome, creating a quiet shimmer against deep mirror-polished black.

From a distance the ring reads as a glossy dark band with a soft luminous center stripe. Up close, the capiz fragments come alive - small pearl-grey islands catching and shifting light in unpredictable directions. It's a wedding band built on subtle iridescence and dark contrast.
