The PHANTOM is a handcrafted black titanium men's wedding band, 8mm wide, with a brushed-finish outer shell that spins freely around a polished titanium base — a real mechanical fidget mechanism built into an ultra-lightweight titanium frame. Built comfort-fit, inside-laser-engravable, and backed by our lifetime warranty. The titanium sibling of our REVOLVE — same mechanism, roughly 60% lighter on the finger.

The Metal

Titanium is the lightest of the hard-wear wedding-band metals — about 45% lighter than stainless steel and roughly 60% lighter than tungsten. That weight difference matters a lot in a spinner ring: the lighter the outer shell, the less rotational inertia, and the easier and faster it spins from a single flick. The PHANTOM will spin longer and freer than its tungsten sibling from the same effort.

It's the same aerospace-grade metal used in aircraft structural parts and surgical implants: Mohs hardness ~6, fully hypoallergenic, nickel-free, and immune to rust, tarnish, and corrosion from saltwater, sweat, or chlorine. The black tone is a physical-vapor-deposited (PVD) finish bonded at the molecular level — the same process used on high-end watch cases — and won't peel, strip, or wear through.

The Spinner Mechanism

The outer brushed shell of the PHANTOM rotates around the inner titanium base on a precision bearing built into the ring. You can spin it with a flick of your thumb or index finger, one-handed, silently, and continuously. The bearing is machined to keep the shell centered and low-friction — in the PHANTOM specifically, because titanium is lighter than tungsten, a single flick gives noticeably more rotations before the shell slows to a stop.

This isn't decorative. Spinner rings are used by people with anxiety, ADHD, restless-hand habits, and high-stress jobs as a grounding tool — the repetitive spinning motion redirects nervous energy into a quiet, hand-only action. It's the ring equivalent of worry beads or a stress ball, except it's always on your finger, it's silent, and it looks like a wedding band to everyone else.

PHANTOM vs. REVOLVE

Same mechanism, different metal. Choose the PHANTOM if you want the lightest possible feel on your finger (titanium), longer free-spin time from each flick, and don't mind that titanium is softer than tungsten — micro-scratches can develop over years of heavy wear. Choose the REVOLVE if you want maximum scratch-resistance for life (tungsten), prefer a little more heft, and expect the ring to look identical in 20 years. Price and mechanism are essentially the same; it's a feel-and-durability trade-off.

Who It's For

The PHANTOM is for the man who fidgets and wants the lightest, freest-spinning option. It's also for anyone with a sensitivity to heavier rings, for whom an 8mm tungsten band is too much weight — titanium at 8mm feels closer to a thin silver band on the finger. Common buyers: ADHD, anxiety, desk-job high-stress, former nicotine/gum replacement, and anyone whose job has them on their feet all day and who doesn't want to feel the ring's weight.

Key Features

  • Aerospace-grade titanium construction — 60% lighter than tungsten, hypoallergenic, nickel-free, corrosion-proof
  • Precision-bearing spinner mechanism — outer shell rotates freely, longer free-spin than tungsten due to lower weight
  • Black PVD finish — molecularly bonded to the titanium core, will not peel or strip
  • Two-texture design — brushed outer shell, polished inner base
  • 8mm width with polished beveled edges
  • Comfort-fit interior — rounded inside for all-day wear
  • Free inside laser engraving — up to 30 characters, any font
  • Lifetime warranty + replacement sizing program — defect coverage and a replacement ring if your finger size changes (see warranty page)
  • Ring sizes 7 – 15 (including half sizes)

Care Instructions

The PHANTOM is nearly maintenance-free. Clean with warm water, a drop of mild dish soap, and a soft toothbrush — bristles reach into the gap between the spinner shell and the base to clear lint or fiber. Dry thoroughly, spinning the shell under running water to flush the bearing. The spinner mechanism is designed to run dry; do not lubricate. Avoid immersing in sand, dirt, or grit, which can work into the bearing and cause drag. Titanium is hardy to chemicals, so soap, shampoo, sweat, and sunscreen won't affect it.

Closing / CTA

A wedding band should work with you, not against you. The PHANTOM gives you the lightest possible spinner ring we make — a grounding tool in a form nobody but you will recognize. Select your size above, add your engraving, and we'll handcraft your PHANTOM and ship it insured within 1–2 weeks.

Engrave the inside. Make it his.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Does the spinner on the PHANTOM actually spin freely? A: Yes — and in fact, it spins longer than the tungsten REVOLVE from the same flick because titanium is about 60% lighter. The outer brushed shell rotates on a precision bearing around the polished titanium inner base. Silent, one-handed, and continuous.

Q: PHANTOM or REVOLVE — which should I buy? A: Same mechanism, different metal. PHANTOM (titanium) is lighter on the finger and spins longer per flick, but is softer (Mohs 6) so micro-scratches develop over years of heavy wear. REVOLVE (tungsten) is heavier, spins slightly shorter, but is scratch-proof for life (Mohs 8.5–9). If you want maximum hardness, REVOLVE. If you want maximum comfort and spin time, PHANTOM.

Q: Will titanium scratch from daily wear? A: Titanium is significantly harder to scratch than gold, silver, or platinum, but not as hard as tungsten. Over years of heavy wear you can develop micro-scratches. The brushed-satin finish on the outer shell helps — small scratches blend into the brushed pattern rather than showing as gouges.

Q: Can I engrave the PHANTOM? A: Yes. Free inside engraving is included — up to 30 characters, any font. Laser engraving on titanium gives a crisp, permanent mark. Engraving is on the inner (non-spinning) surface, so it's always readable in the same orientation.

Q: Will the black finish wear off? A: No. The black color is a PVD (physical vapor deposition) finish bonded to the titanium at the molecular level — the same process used on high-end watch cases. It won't peel, strip, or wear through under normal daily wear.

Q: How do I care for the spinner mechanism? A: Clean with warm water, mild dish soap, and a soft toothbrush. Rinse under running water while spinning the shell to flush the bearing. The mechanism is designed to run dry — do not lubricate. Avoid sand, dirt, or grit.

Lifetime Warranty

Every Aydins ring is covered by a lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects. If something fails because of how the ring was made, not how it was worn, we'll take care of it through our warranty process.

What's Covered

  • Manufacturing defects in the ring or its finish
  • Premature failure of plating, coatings, or inlays under normal wear
  • Stone setting failure caused by the manufacturing process
  • Defects in the metal or material itself

What's Not Covered

The warranty covers how we built the ring, not what happens to it after you take it home. The following aren't covered:

  • Damage from drops, sharp impact, or excessive force
  • Wear caused by chlorine, harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaning, or improper care
  • Lost rings
  • Damage from at-home sizing or resizing attempts (always use the Lifetime Sizing Program)
  • Normal cosmetic wear over time on softer metals (small scratches, patina)

Aydins Lifetime Sizing Program

Your finger size will change over the years. The Lifetime Sizing Program is how we make sure your ring keeps fitting, no matter how long you've owned it.

It works like this:

  • If your size changes at any point in your life, we will send you the same ring in your new size for a small re-sizing fee, not the full retail price.
  • You ship your original ring back to us, and we ship the replacement out to you.
  • The full process is handled through our Returns & Exchanges portal, so you can track everything from start to finish.

The exact process depends on the metal (some can be resized, others are replaced), but the outcome is the same: you stay in a ring that fits, for life.

How to File a Claim or Request a Resize

Visit our Returns & Exchanges page to start any warranty claim, resize request, or return. You'll be guided through our self-service portal, where you can submit your claim, upload photos if needed, and track status from start to finish.

For warranty claims, please include a clear photo of the ring so we can confirm coverage before shipping a replacement.

Our Promise

Aydins has been making rings since 2011. The warranty and the sizing program exist for one reason: a wedding band is supposed to last as long as the marriage. We build the ring to do that, and we back it for as long as you wear it.

FAQ's

How does inside engraving work?

Free with every order. You can engrave text, dates, coordinates, fingerprints, handwriting, signatures, or a custom image. Standard fonts are included; if you want a specific font or custom artwork, send us a sample after checkout and we'll match it. Engraving is permanent and laser-etched, not stamped.

Do you offer custom sizes or widths?

Yes, within reason. We can do half sizes, sizes below 5 and above 15, and non-standard widths on most styles. Reach out before ordering with what you need and we'll quote the timeline. Some materials (ceramic, full-engraved patterns) have manufacturing limits we'll be upfront about.

Which material is right for me?

Tungsten is hardest and most scratch-resistant; great for daily wear and active hands. Titanium is lighter, hypoallergenic, and softer in feel. Ceramic is hard like tungsten but lighter and a true permanent black. Solid 14k gold is softer than tungsten and will pick up character marks over time, which most buyers like; pick gold if you want a traditional precious metal. Each ring's Material tab covers the specifics for that piece.

Are your rings really handcrafted?

Yes. Every Aydins ring is hand-finished, hand-inspected, and hand-engraved in our workshop before it ships. We've been doing this since 2011. That's why standard turnaround is 1 to 3 business days and not same-day; the quality check takes a beat.

Free Shipping

Every order ships free anywhere in the United States with no minimum. Free shipping is also available to Canada, Australia, and the United Kingdom on orders of $90 USD or more.

Processing Time

Most orders ship within 1 to 5 business days. Engraved rings, custom sizes, and special widths can add a day or two; we'll let you know if your order needs extra time.

Express and Next-Day Delivery

Available at checkout for an additional fee. Express options reduce transit time after the order ships, but standard processing time still applies before the package goes out.

In-Store Pickup

Available within 1 to 5 business days for local customers. Select pickup at checkout.

International Shipping

We ship worldwide to most countries. If yours isn't listed at checkout, contact us and we'll work something out. Delivery times vary by destination. UPS and FedEx Express options are available for faster international transit.

Returns and Exchanges

For the full process, visit our Returns & Exchanges page. Size exchanges, defects, and warranty claims are all handled there.

What Ceramic Is

Ceramic, in jewelry terms, refers to high-tech advanced ceramic, not pottery. It's typically made from titanium carbide or zirconium oxide compounds that are kiln-fired at extreme temperatures into a dense, hardened material. The result is a wedding band that's lighter than tungsten, harder than titanium, and finished in a color that's part of the material itself rather than a coating.

The same family of ceramics is used in luxury watch cases (Rado, Hublot, Omega) and high-performance industrial applications. For wedding bands, it's the modern alternative to traditional metals.

Why People Choose It

  • Permanent color, all the way through. Black ceramic is black throughout the material. White ceramic is white throughout. The color can't chip, fade, or wear off because it isn't on the surface, it's the material.
  • Highly scratch-resistant. Ceramic rates between 7 and 8 on the Mohs scale, harder than titanium and most precious metals. It holds its finish under daily wear.
  • Lightweight. Ceramic is about 40% lighter than tungsten and lighter than most gold rings. Comfortable for all-day wear without the heaviness some men dislike.
  • Hypoallergenic. Ceramic is biologically inert, so there's no reaction with the skin and no metal allergies to worry about.
  • Smooth, modern feel. The polished surface has a distinctive silky finish that's different from any metal. People often comment on the way ceramic feels the first time they put one on.

The Tradeoff Worth Knowing

Ceramic's hardness is also its limitation. Like tungsten, ceramic can crack or shatter under sharp impact. This is rare in normal wear, but it's worth understanding before you buy.

Two practical things follow from this:

  • It can't be cut off the finger with traditional ring saws. In an emergency, a hospital uses a small tool to crack the ring at two points, which removes it cleanly. Most ERs are familiar with this.
  • Resizing isn't possible. If your size changes, we replace the ring through the Aydins Lifetime Sizing Program rather than try to alter it. It's how high-tech ceramic works.

Comfort Fit, Explained

Every Aydins ceramic ring is built with a comfort-fit interior. The inside of the band is gently domed instead of flat, which reduces friction against the finger and makes the ring sit smoothly even when your hand swells slightly (heat, humidity, exercise, long flights).

One note on sizing. Comfort-fit rings often run a half size larger than standard fit, so if you've measured for a non-comfort-fit ring before, order a half size down. If you're unsure, our Ring Sizing Guide has three different ways to find your size at home.

Color Options

Ceramic comes primarily in two colors, both intrinsic to the material:

  • Black ceramic. A deep, neutral black that doesn't fade or wear. The most popular choice in the category and a clean alternative to black-plated tungsten, since ceramic doesn't have a plated layer that can wear over time.
  • White ceramic. A bright, modern white that resembles white gold or platinum but never tarnishes, yellows, or needs replating. A favorite among buyers who want the look of white gold without the upkeep.

Care & Cleaning

  • Clean with mild soap and warm water, dry with a soft cloth.
  • Skip the ultrasonic cleaners and chemical jewelry dips. Ceramic doesn't need them.
  • No special precautions for showering, swimming, or chemicals. Ceramic is inert and doesn't react.
  • The surface holds its polish under normal wear, but avoid dropping the ring on hard surfaces. Like all hard ceramics, the same property that resists scratches makes the material vulnerable to sharp impact.

Lifetime Coverage

Every Aydins ceramic ring is backed by a lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects and the Aydins Lifetime Sizing Program. If your size ever changes, we get you into a ring that fits through the sizing program. Both are handled through our Returns & Exchanges portal, and the full warranty terms are listed on the Warranty tab.

The promise behind both is simple: a wedding band is supposed to last as long as the marriage. We build the ring to do that, and we back it for as long as you wear it.
