Is this a real diamond?

Yes. Lab-grown diamonds are 100% real diamonds. They are chemically, optically, and physically identical to mined diamonds. They are graded by the same labs (IGI, GIA) using the same 4Cs (carat, color, clarity, cut). The only difference is how they are made: in a lab in a few weeks, instead of in the earth over millions of years.

What does lab-grown mean?

Lab-grown diamonds are created in a controlled laboratory environment using one of two methods: HPHT (high pressure, high temperature) or CVD (chemical vapor deposition). Both methods recreate the same conditions that form natural diamonds. The result is a diamond that is structurally identical to a mined one, certified by the same labs, but typically priced 50 to 70 percent below mined.

Will my ring come with a certificate?

Yes. Every Aydins engagement ring ships with the original IGI grading report. The certificate is a physical document that confirms the diamond's carat weight, color grade, clarity grade, cut grade, and lab-grown origin. Keep it with your ring documentation.

How long does the ring take to arrive?

Total time from order to delivery is 7 to 10 business days. Your ring is custom-made to your size, then shipped to our Texas workshop where we inspect, engrave (if requested), and repackage before FedEx 2Day shipping to you free of charge in the US.

What is the difference between 14K and 10K gold?

14K gold is 58.3% pure gold, 10K is 41.7% pure gold. Both are real gold and both hold up to daily wear. 14K has a slightly richer color and is more common in the US bridal market. 10K is more affordable, slightly harder (more scratch-resistant), and a great option for couples on a tighter budget. 10K gold is real gold with the same durability and fire as 14K, at a lower entry price. Same lab-grown diamond, same IGI certification, same free engraving — the metal is 41.7% pure gold instead of 58.3%. For couples who want the ring, not the markup.

Can I engrave the ring?

Yes. Free inside engraving is included with every ring, up to 20 characters. We engrave at our Texas workshop after the ring arrives from the manufacturer, so engraving does not extend your delivery timeline. Once engraved, rings are exchange-only.

What size should I order?

Aydins engagement rings are made to order in half sizes from 4 to 12. If you are unsure of the ring size, use our free ring sizer tool at shopaydins.com/pages/find-your-ring-size or measure using our size chart. If the size is off, we offer a free re-size on un-engraved rings within 30 days.

What is your return policy?

30-day return on un-engraved, original-size rings with a 25% restocking fee (these are custom made-to-order rings, so the fee covers the wholesale cost we already paid). Once engraved or resized, rings are exchange only. Defective rings are replaced free of charge under our Lifetime Warranty.

Is this ring covered by a warranty?

Yes. Every ring is backed by the Aydins Lifetime Warranty Program, which covers manufacturing defects for the lifetime of the ring. It does not cover accidental damage, loss, or wear from normal use — for those, we recommend a separate jewelry insurance policy.
